First meeting with Dr Voss

in Kidney Cancer #1

We had our first appointment today with our new oncologist, Dr Voss.

He spent a good amount of time with us explaining where we go from here (4 week post radical nephrectomy) and answering our questions. He explained the stages of cancer and what made my husband's tumor stage 4.

John's tumor was 14cm and went into his adrenal gland which made it stage 4. He also explained that the whole tumor was removed along with the kidney and adrenal gland. We will follow up with a CAT scan in 3 to 6 months.

    Well that sounds good! Did

    Well that sounds good! Did they discuss other meds? I know from what everybody posted earlier, this is a great team for you.

    No other meds at

    Hi Jojo,

    No other meds at this point. The feeling is that everything was removed with the surgery. By the grace of God I hope it was.
