Tomorrow can't get here soon enough. Just be glad when it's over and I can start to recover. Thanks for all the great info I've found on this forum. It's made the whole process easier to deal with. I'll check back in a few days.....

    Tomorrow, tomorrow

    Wings,

I remember hearing that song somewhere.

Remind the wife that it is her job to wait on you and obey every command for the next 10 days. some things she does not have to worry about until the 6 week check up.

    I'm back, kinda.....

Surgery went well according to the doc. Took the whole right kidney and some lymph nodes but did not take the andrenal gland. Got my follow up on the 20th so should have the pathology report back by then. Had the surgery wed the 4th finally came home sat the 7th. I've had a few surgeries in the past but this by far kicked my butt the most. Glad it's done and now I can begin to heal. Thanks for all the support.....

    Piece of cake

    Wings,

If I wrote that the surgery is a piece of cake I would be laughed off this board. Our club membership does not come easy. No pain, no gain.

By summer you should be back on that bike. Just don't overdue it at first.

    Glad it went well.  Drink

Glad it went well.  Drink lots of water, and move around as much as you can.  If you can get outside to walk, do that.  It works wonders.

    Sorry.....

I haven't had the time to post. My 88 year old Father hasn't been well and we just brought Hospice in so I've been pretty busy. Anyway the pathology report staged the tumor at pT1b,N0, Fuhrman nuclear grade 3. Tumor size was 4.5cm. All cancer was contained to the kidney. I realize just how lucky I am to have caught this early enough to prevent it from getting worse. Now just finish healing up and scans every 6mo for a while. Doc gave me a 90% chance of never having this come back. Thank you to all who gave me advice or made comments. It really did help me through this. I don't spend a lot of time online, but I will try and check in every now and then to prayers, advice, or whatever I can. Thanks again.....
