Any one out there being tested for CA 19-9 in addition to CA 125? For people with mets/progression/
Due to rising protein and glucose levels I am now being monitored for this as part of the boards they test every three weeks prior to avastin. (For those who don't know I am living with advanced stage UPSC that has Mets and is considered progressive and am chemo resistant.). I think this is related to the Avastin potential side effects but thought I would ask you since my doctor says he isn't concerned but just taking an abundance of caution in monitoring me.

Good Morning, Anne
Hi, Anne,
I can't respond to your question but I just wanted to tell you that you've been in my thoughts and that I am praying the doctors find effective treatment for you. It seems that cancer affects people differently and the treatment outcomes are different as well. What I think is most strange about cancer is that a person can have it and have no symptoms of disease whatsoever. Anyone looking at me would never have guessed that I was diagnosed with metastatic uterine cancer. If I was in a car accident and lost my leg, for example, than the debility would be obvious to both me and others. Didn't you say recently that you are feeling fine physically? I hope that you continue to feel well.
A Hug to You, Anne!

I am feeling pretty well, have energy, working and riding! Like you, if you saw me on the street you would never know what was going on with me. If things remain as is I would be fine. I have learned, partly from you my friend - and my other heroes here including Ro that I can enjoy and live fully although maybe not as I imagined in the past. I saw the most amazing sunset tonight driving home from Santa Barbara. It just infused me with energy, peace and positivity. I am grateful that I am open to this experience despite some dark days a few months ago. Hugs to all!

My friend, continue to enjoy every moment of every day!!! I am trying my best to do the same! The same wish is for all the friends on the board. God has promised us that there will be a time when this will all end. "He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The Former things have passed away.

All of you ladies inspire me so. I get strength from you and can't tell you how much I appreciate it. Hugs. Anne
