update on my medical issues
As many of you know I have been having problems with my hip have torn muscles out of the bone and severe bursitis. Have seen 4 orthopedic surgeons and none interested in doing surgery on me. THe last one in sept said if my lung doc could get me off steroids for my lungs for 4 months he would do surgery . He order therapy and cortisone injections xray guided in hip 2 times and didnt help me at all. So seen him back in dec for check up and he told me he couldnt do anything for me due to no response to the cortisone injections, that I had already told him before didnt help me.. I said well it was an issue with steroids that you didnt want to do it. So make a long story short, he referred me to another part of the state to my 5th surgeon that looked at my mri and said you know most patients who have what you do are in the same shape when I get them. He said I will fix your hip. So done a new MRI nothing much changed and I have surgery Feb 11th. I cant wait. THis pain has been horrible for almost 18 months now. I have also had an infection in my left ankle and plantar fasciitiss and foot swollen for 3 months. Had PT on it and antibiotics and it is doing some better right now. This surgeon also has a partner who is going to take care of my foot once hip is done. Need your prayers, vibes, as Iwill be down for awhile. My visit at ONC went ok she is very concerned due to the cell changes in stomach and the adenomas in colon cells had changed since colon ca 18 months ago. Will have kidney ct next month. She said I was high risk cancer and had to watch me closely. Thanks all for your caring, and prayers, and karma.

Thank you Jojo, it does sound hopeful and I am so ready for it. A lot of rehab after but I will give it my all. I want to walk along the beach again soon and maybe have a margarita LOL Thanks

Thanks for the hug. Has been a long time finding a doc to help me. He does not guarantee all my pain will be gone, but if he can gt rid of some that would be a big relief. I can hardly walk right now. THey was ready to put me in a wheelchair from now on and I put up a fight with 4th ortho doc. I told him I would exhaust every avenue until I found someone to help me. He sat there a min , i had tears streamin down my face, and he said I know a doc in other part of state who does a lot of hip surgeries, maybe he can help you. After I seen this other ortho doc he said how did you find me? He said he may have heard the doc name that refer me to him but not for sure. Said he did not know him or met him. So i am just glad he sent me there however he came across this doc name. I said divine intervention!!! Ill keep in touch. Thanks for caring

I thank you so much. It has taken a long time to find a doc to do surgery on me, my 5th ortho doc is going to do it. I live in Ky and going to Indiana to have it done. He done a new MRI gluteus max/min are torn and severe bursitis. Doc said he would clean that bursa out and tuck those muscle back in and lots of therapy. My gait is so altered from limping for so long now. But, In 10 days I can start my recovery. LOL Need all that Karma! My birthday is Tuesday feb 3rd and this is going to be a good present for me i hope!

Brea - So glad you will be getting this taken care of. I have had knee issues since before my cancer diagnosis. The entire side of my right thigh is numb and I have arthritis in the knee. Can't seem to get a doc to take this seriously as they believe the numbness is caused by the arthritis and I don't believe this to be true. It has taken a back seat to the kidney cancer at this point. I hope this surgery finds relief for you. Good luck!

I hope I am lol. THey have rescheduled my surgery to Feb 23 due to I cannot have surgery in a surgery center. I told them this to start with and they didnt listen. Because of my heart and lungs I cant even have endoscopies done there. Have to go to a hospital for surgery for put it off for 2 weeks. The anesethia docs seen my health history and said no. Now today I got cardiac and lung clearance. So all should be ready at the next schedule time. Pray for me !!! Thanks for replies all.
