Desperately seeking Help
Hi everyone, my name is Sam. My lady was recently told that she had Stage 4 lung cancer on 1/9/15. On 1/6/15, she had a PET scan done, and before the holidays, doctors noticed 2 small masses near her lungs and stomach area. When she was told she had cancer, not knowing which kind, well naturally she broke down and cried as only one would getting this kind of sad news. The doctors told her now that the only treatment possible would be chemotherapy which begins this Thursday, 1/15/15, and every 3 weeks after. So, if any of you wish to share what either you or loved ones have been going through, I'd be more than appreciative to hear and possibly suggest any other treatments or other ideas that would be most helpful in keeping her strong in mind and will to never give up hope to fight this " Monster" as she calls it. Thank you !

Hi Sam,
One thing I have learned is some doctors are alot more helpful than others. You can get a second opinion as to the treatment options, I am on "inspire" site as well and there are a ton of stage 4's there, with a ton of different kinds of treatment, it is a learning curve, and You will have to get more detailed information from your doctors as to what kind of cancer it is, Adeno or squamous, small cell or non small cell, does it have mutations...etc. there is alot to learn if you intend to fight.
I'm sorry, I know how hard this is, believe me.

Hello Sam....
So verry sorry you guys had to get news like this. Been there. If you would like to talk I am very happy to talk with you about this. I am a stage 4 rare lung cancer survivor. Told my story here too many times. Also a brain tumor and brain surgery survivor, now dealing with a second brain tumor. The brain tumors were from the lung cancer. If you want to talk on the phone just call. 310-953-7979. ANY survivor is welcome to call me. WAAAAY too much to type and I've told my story here too many times. Doctors can not explain how or why I survived. With my case, and how my tumor went all the way to my brain and shut it off from massive brain swelling without me even knowing there was an issue is extreemly rare. I didn't know I was even sick. Will power is EEEEVVERYTHING!!!! How bad does she want to live is the question. I'm sure she wants to live every bit as much as anybody else does. She just needs to fight like her life depends on it, because of course, it does!

I'm so sorry for you! I was
I'm so sorry for you! I was just diagnosed with lung cancer but it has not been identified as to the type. Im terrified while I sit here not knowing if I can even be helped. I have to wait nd see what kind. So far the local pathologist can't identify it and neither can the big city university pathologist. So nothing is being done. I pray and hope everything will go well for you! Please pray for me. I feel lost!
