Stuart Scott quote

You may know that Stuart Scott was a sports TV announcer who recently died from cancer.  He was 49 years young. I just read a quote from him and I wanted to share it with you all.

"When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer," Scott told the audience. "You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live."

This is definitely something for me to ponder.

Love and Light to you all tonight.

Phil

    Yep!

I heard that on the news tonight, and I love the quote. So sorry he's gone.

    *hugs*

Very said news. I saw his ESPN speach and it brought tears to my eyes. What an inspiration he was. My wife and I were driving to the store yesturday in between football games, and I heard them announcing his passing on the radio, fortunately my wife didn't hear it so I immediately turned down the radio and started a conversation. Meanwhile my heart was breaking inside. I keep as much bad news about others from my wife as I can.

I know how you feel brother

It is very difficult to hear sad news about other cancer warriors and knowing my own situation is serious. And while we feel deep emotions at times we somehow need to insulate our families and friends, and focus on the positive. It's not easy for me to do but I will try to keep my chin up and focus on Living and Loving.

    Peace be with you Jeff
