checking in
Hello everyone !
I've been a bit remiss in posting the past few months. But I have been reading posts and sending out silent prayers for all. My brother is 6 mo's out of tx's for the SCC HPV + dx. His recent PET showed no new evidence of disease ! So bringing in the New Year has brought much relief and hope for a great 2015. He is doing really good, the side effects of tx's have been rough on him but he has a kick **** can do attitude.
I myself am doing relatively good. One foot in front of the other and keeping up with current advances in tx's for ADCC to share with other's. (adenoid cystic carcinoma) I celebrated my three year mark this past Dec. 23rd. I will continue to be monitored the rest of my life. So, I think they'll be cutting my scans out yrly now ? (at least on the head and neck area) My lung Ct's will continue every 6 mo's.
I wish everyone a very wonderful 2015, and please continue to support each other with kindness, inspiration and wonder at the strength of the human will. Love and hugs sent out to each and everyone ! Katie

Good news for your brother
The news on your brother was good to hear NED. You just had your three year mark is great to hear. Like you said, just one foot in front of the other, and hope for more advancements for ADCC. I'll keep you in my prayers as well. I have to have my lungs checked again soon.
2015 is the year of the NED

Just happy to see you, girl! Great news about your brother.
I am still close by keeping an eye on everyone, but mostly with lips sealed. Good to hear that you are holding your own. We never, ever give up hope for a cure.
Love, Wolfen

Katie,
I am glad to hear your brother weathered the storm.
I am also happy to hear you are well. It was 3 years ago Dec 23rd I heard the words “you have cancer” so I guess we will share that date.
Better 2015
Matt
I know most of you have probably forgotten about me but I think of you all often and I am glad to see so many of you on here still.
Love and miss talking to you all....just crazy busy in life I guess.
Family and I now live in Alaska ........6 months here and I think the dust is beginning to settle...
Best,
Tim
