Mets to Liver

Hello

I'm scared because I was put on letrozole and only four months ago with only bone mets, and I had a  CT scan last week. I met with my doctor yesterday and he went over the results and it showed a lot spots on my liver. He has taking me off of letrozole because of what happen. Did letrozole failed anybody else like that?riamycin once a week for 8 weeks and he will do a CT after that.  I feel like giving up some times ,if any body can give me some advice please .   Does anybody know how Ariamycin works? I scared that this won't work. I will try not to worry so much but its been hard.

I AM GLAD you find us as dealing with cancer it very hard. Sorry that letrozole did not work on your bones and cancer has progressed to your liver. this drug did not work for my bones too, that really surprised two very good oncologists. Everyone is different, every organism has its own way of responding to medications. I am now on Afinitor /Aromasin combination and if it will not work, Doxil chemo which is similar to Adriamycin is on my oncologist list.

Please use this link to read about this medication http://www.breastcancer.org/treatment/druglist/adriamycin

There other medications for stage IV and something will work for sure.

Try to cheere yourself  up with good book or comedy, or plnning a dream trip.

    Please keep posted

    Hugs to you

    Hi, I'm doing ok.

    Hi,

I'm doing ok. I was trying to relax and not worry so much. I started Adriamycin three weeks ago, so far I haven't had any problems with the treatment .  Thank you for asking:)

    Strong Stuff*

Those of us who have had Adriamycin will tell you that it is pretty strong stuff........ I had it in 2002 combined with 5FU and Cytoxin....... and I can still see that big tube of RED STUFF and still remember how it almost made me sick the first time the RN did my push....but...I yelled:  "Nausea.. Nausea" ** and she stopped and after I did a little deep breathing we started again and she slowed the push down so it went better after that.  Have you not had it before?   I went to your page but there are no details so can you tell us a little more about yourself?  Almost all of us here can relate to your fear and anxiety....and we send you prayers for strength to get thru this latest treatment.   I'm pretty sure Adriamycin is what makes your hair fall out & may be the cause of the lines on our fingernails where the protein stops growing for a few days every time we get it....at least that is what happened with me.  But I am still here and it has been twelve years......... Hugs,  Glo    Please let us know what is happening....sending prayers.....
