Scans and appointment
after a week of anxiety, my husband's bone scan, chest and abdominal scans are clear; next appointment in 4 months
his oncologist is optimistic but, of course, cautious since we are dealing with renal cancer.
But, he is stage 4, grade 2 with no evidence of visible disease.

May I know how longHi Sarah,
May I know how long it took your husband from having a stage 4 grade 2 to being no evidence of disease? Thanks...

my husband was dx stage 4 in July, 2013; he had 2 mets on the spine and a 10 cm tumor on the right kidney
he had a laminectomy for one met and cyberknife on the other as well as a radical nephrectomy
it is assumed that there is cancer somewhere but it is not visible: the oncologist says it is gone or hiding.
He will always be stage 4; the tumor was grade 2.
his current treatment is surveillance
