Scan Today, Results Tomorrow, Nervous As All Get Out, and a New Record
I had my every six month CT scan today after much ordeal and a new record - 11 needle sticks. Two to get the blood work, NINE to get the IV in. I never thought I'd be missing the mediport (not that they ever used it for the CT scans anyway, but I think they might have made an exception today). I'm in a fair bit of pain from all the needle sticks around my hands, wrists, and arms. And of course anxious about what the results will be. Prayers, candles, swinging chickens, and any other good thoughts you can muster would be VERY much appreciated.

ouch.....a CT tech once told me that the needle on the CT is larger than your average size because it carries all that nice radioactive stuffie into us.....there does seem to be a prob getting them in....oh you poor little pin cushion. last time that happened to me I said STOP and demanded they go get someone from the IV team....I never! complain but I thought nope not doing this with the CT tech.....the IV tech got it in first try....the CT tech was grumbling.....
anyway it just makes sense that you will have good results after that trial.....all best wishes......

I had four different CT nurse specialists and a phlebotomist turn me into the pin cushion today. They seem to have their torturers rotating out for experience

I'm sorry you had to go through that. My prayers and good thoughts for NED. Does swinging chickens from Ralphs count?
