Wiping the bios is worse than vandals in the cemetery. I do agree with Kim about missing old friends, and the prospect of being "disappeared". I dislike the prospect us of going dark about our stories near the end just to avoid bio erasure.
I am kind of thinking that we need a reasonably stable offsite board to post our bios to, and then archive them permanently elsewhere (ahem).
Not posting deaths is a serious reduction in benefit to all, and will ultimately drive many elsewhere, off CSN. Biographies are an important way we can see beyond the limitations of local and current (outdated) practices, and to be aware of misunderstood or unspoken problems as well as being with our friends.

Thank you so much, Sue!
It's sad to see so many names. I agree, unless the family requests that the person's information be deleted, I think their information should be left open for all of us to look back on. I'm not sure how to get around that. Maybe we can open a Facebook page and post our stories on there, but who knows, I think things could disappear on there sometimes, too.
I want to ask my brother if I can post his pic. Although I originally opened this in his name to find out info for him, it has ended up being my account. Everyone here has been so supportive and helpful to us in this horrible journey. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I try my best to keep up, but I know I've probably missed a couple.
Oh my! It would have been Barb's Birthday toady. She was only a month older than me.

Yeah, I sent her family a little note. She was so young. Between her and Leena, it was a bad year.

Each time I see this list posted I think the same thing.....it is way too long. I remember texting with these people and how encouraging they all were. This disease is horrible.
I pray they rest in peace because they are now free. I pray for their families, especially at the Holiday time.
It is impossible to find the right words.

In addition to the sadness of the loss, I remember so many of these friends with fond memories filled with laughter, strength, courage, and compassion for each of us here. I know the holiday season is especially tough for us who remain. I am still not used to the idea of no gift shopping for Ron and now my JBG, but I will get through it.

Wolfen

Ted also passed away this year.
Prayers being ring sent for those we lost and their loved ones.

He passed away on my birthday, December 22nd, last year. What a wonderful man he was, who shared so much with us while he was here.
He is so worthy of rememberance. Thanks Phil.

Hi all,
I just wanted to add my dear mum Karen to this list,
She didnt post herself on here but I did and the support I recieved was so touching, I would often flick in and out of the board as I needed some advice/guidance when things changed and it was incredibly helpful.
Gosh I miss her at this time of year.....in fact, I miss her all the time!
It seems fitting i post this today as I am off to voluneer some time at a local store that hosts our hospice rememberance tree.
Love you mum xxxx

My Mom
Hi all,
I did not post much on the site but I came very often to get advice for my mom. My mom passed away November 21/2014 from this awful disease after an almost 2 year battle. Her name is Mary Lou and she was only 58 years old.
Thank you all for your constant posts, you help more people than you know!
Love,
Michelle

1. That we have some kind of understanding and arrangement with CSN admins to grant permission and request (demand) that our profile pages be retained. I note Helen's efforts with BarbeBarb (11/26, above) seem to acceptable, both for the Profile page and the identifying information have survived over 5 weeks now.
Perhaps, a. as a permission & signature on the profile page itself, or b. a forum broadcast list "We the undersigned..."
2. Start post posting similar profile pages here or on independent media that will have their own expiration/deletion characteristics, with references in our own posts.
