I am thanful for all of you.

And remember, no matter what you are going through, you are much better off than than the turkey sweating grease in your 350 degree oven lol.

    Good one, Laz, but.........

    .....it's even worse for our turkey - my husband always smokes it on his Weber grill with the rotisserie saber sticking through it and stabilizing hooks jammed into its poor, but delicious body. It comes out mahogany-colored, crispy-skinned, moist, and delectable.

    Buddy has perfected his turkey-smoking technique over the years and will smoke his turkey even if he has to stand out in the snow to do so, like yesterday. With all his experience, he tells me that the very hardest part of smoking a turkey.....is keeping it lit! Ha! Ha! Ha! (His joke, not mine. I am constitutionally unable to do jokes.)

    I hope we all are in the embrace of people who care about us and that we are able to acknowledge the gratitude we have for those who have helped us. For instance, I am grateful to my husband for his unflagging support and reasonable perspective when I couldn't lift my head from the pillow or was in the hospital getting multiple IV antibiotics and transfusions. I am also thankful for finding this forum. It has helped me in so many ways that my only regret is not happening across it sooner while I was still getting treated.

    What a lovely way to express your gratitude!  I, too, was a late-comer to this site and SO wish I had had the wonderful support that is given here while my tail was being fried!  But as they say, better late than never!  I hope you and all the other fantastic people here had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

    I am grateful for all of you too.  I didn't find this forum until I had finished treatment (not sure if that was good or bad) but I have found it extremely helpful.  I appreciate everyone's sharing and caring.  Next month will be 2 yrs. since my diagnosis and I'm looking forward to clean scans at the beginning of the year.  Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and ate too much turkey like me.  Smile
