Cubetal Lymph Nodes**

Off and on over the years since my lumpectomy/lympectomy....I have had the inside of my left arm get swollen.   The first time it happened I never dreamed it had anything at all to do with my cancer and I asked my Regular Family MD about it....we were thinking maybe a blood clot...and he sent me to the hospital for tests STAT that very afternoon.   They could not find a thing and they were puzzled.   My Oncologist later was not sure about it either.    Well it came and went and I didn't worry too much... but lately it has come and not wanted to go  LOL   Last night it was a pretty big lump which was down this AM but tonite is back and burning....so I finally decided to research it myself and came up with information on the Cubetal Lymph Nodes inside our elbows.     I am going to ask my new Onc in Dec about it...but wondered if any of you have any experience with this?   My entire arm is sort of aching and the swollen spot is like a burning sensation.   This typing probably doesn't help it any....  you think?

    I haven't heard of this

That's good that you are so pro-active. I have had lyphedema several times and cured it by antibiotics and rest. Could your problem also be lyphedema of some sort to those lymph nodes you mention? Does it happen more after you've been using your arm too much? I had a collarbone pain that scared me and ended up being from my posture while holding the pc mouse!! Well I guess you'll know soon in December when you see your new onc. Hope you get relief and an answer soon, Anna

The more I think about it

The more I think about it I bet it is a form of lymphedema in a way......sure do not want it to be something like more cancer ...but wouldn't you think those Docs would think of that?  DUH.....   It really is amazing how simple a lot of this stuff is...about your collarbone pain just because of posture.....THANK GOD.  I bet this thing with my inside left elbow is nothing more than too much typing on this lap top  LOL    Are you a permanent resident in Europe or are you just there on assignment?  Wonderful for you that your husband got your Herceptin....hope all is going ok for you now.  I read so many different things on here I sometimes get people mixed up.... suppose we all do.    I go in a week for another CA 27-29 and see Oncologist Dec 15........I'm really not too worried about this burning little lump right now....but if it gets any worse I will call him and see him sooner.  Here I am complaining about a dumb one or two nodes while you New Flower are dealing with much more serious things....and yet you take the time to post encouragement to me.... very kind of you and I appreciate it.  Will keep you both in prayer.........  hugs and love, glo

I had a very sore inner elbow

I had a very sore inner elbow pain in the bone, ached and sore to touch for many years.  Around the same time the upper arm ached too on and off.  Doctors said tennis elbow but that is on the outer elbow.  Finally had so many pains all over the place saw a rheumatologist recently.  The elbow is one of my many Osteoarthrisis areas, not a tennis elbow or carpal tunnel.  The upper arm with many other areas is aching due to lack of post menopausal estrogen.  Which cannot be replenished as Estrogen positive Cancer.  I had shoulder and neck pain for countless years, like the other lady mentioned.  When I corrected my posture with Yoga and Pilates it disappeared, I couldn't believe.  I do have deterioration in the shoulders and upper spine but for now the exercising has kept it at bay.  But I too kept thinking, do I have Cancer in the bones etc. as you do so very happy of this diagnosis rather than mets.  Though looks like I am in for a rough ride.

See your doc when it's acting up

I think it would be a good idea to see your doctor (one of them, doesn't matter) when the thing is acting up.  I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I don't think things that have to do with cancer come and go like that, it seems it wold continue to grow if it was cancer related.  Although, I bet it could be related to treatments, like lymphedema.

I have some lumps in my elbow and upper arm, chalked up to lipomas.  But mine do not hurt and are always there.  This getting old thing ain't all that pretty.

And, I agree with Roz.  Exercise is amazing.  All those things "they" say about it is true.  I'm off a blood pressure medication after exercising regularly for a year.  I can also get up off the floor without needing to a chair or something to help me.  Oh, I do still have some joint pain, but not as much, and nothing I can't live with.

Keep after the elbow issue and try to get to the bottom of it.

    Thanks Everybody & Happy Thanksgiving**

Thanks for the information and lots to think about....but also the encouragement that this is probably not cancer related.  :)   Happy Thanksgiving to all....  I have an apptmt in a few weeks with the New Onc again to talk about the Blood RE Test......... had it drawn yesterday.  Hope it will come back with better numbers than next time...but if the numbers are up I suppose it will be another PET Scan.  Haven't had a PET in over two years......but I'm not crazy about getting another since I've already had quite a few of those sweet little RadioIsotope Scans and I've read it is best not to have too many.......  ??   We will see and I will let you all know.   Love and Encouragement to All tonite and again hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving.

    The Pic of Me

Was made in 2010 under the Pier at St Andrews Park in Panama City Beach, FL.      I live on the St John's River however in Mandarin Florida and was just over there for a visit.      We are all here for each other Maggie and we all learn from each other I think.  I especially like the way you are approaching your Battle........with Fortitude and Courage and seeking knowledge and making the tough choices.   Hope and Prayers....  Glo
