But the nausea is killliiiinnng me (( plus there is a horrible smell while I breath...a terrible smell even though I lost the smelling sense. But this inside my nose smell is killing meee....
can anyone help me with this smell issue?! Any ideas.

Goyca,
Many of us develop (a temporary) bionic nose. For me, it was the smell of Jevity which put a hurt on my nose.

I think that is my only sense that was not affected. Sorry it is an issue for you. Zofran may help the nausea.

Me thinks it's
the bionic nose. I had it until a month after rads were over. I could rival my German Shepherd in a search and rescue, my smeller was that good! Things didn't smell bad, just very powerful....but I've heard some people talk about how awful things smelled during this phase.

Perhaps a nettie pot to rinse out the nose may help with saline solution. Also essential oisl such as lavendar may help mask the odor until it gets better. Put a drop under your nose.

I too had the same experience as you are having. Like the others here stated I could smell as good as my dog. But later on it became a sick smell. Like something was wrong. I told my surgeon and he scoped me and found a severe sinus infection. After the antibiotics, I felt normal again. FYI, it was the sinus infection not going away that helped my ENT find my tumor. It took 4 different antibiotics to finally get rid of it. Two years clear now. Hang in there, you'll make it.
