Happy end but maybe hysterectomy in the near future

I had D&C last for a week ago and I got the results of the biopsies. There was no cancer.

I’ll be operated later, the polyps must be removed. The doctor told that it could be removal of the polyps or removal of the uterus. Because I already have my children and I’ve passed menopause, I would like to get rid of both the uterus and the ovaries. They need to be screened regularly and they can cause such a horrible uncertainty. I was totally mad during the whole June month when I did not know what the suspicious ultrasound pictures indicated. The doctors were serious and concerned because of the pictures.  Now I think I know at least a little bit about the feelings that it evokes to have cancer.

    I'm back here

    Thank You for the support!

I’m back here, it seems to be difficult to be completely sure. The situation is not bad but a little bit unexpected.

I haven’t had any symptoms at all, the endometrial hyperplasia (which was my problem when I was here last time) had been found by ultrasound during a routine gynecologist visit in the beginning of the summer. The biopsies in the July month D&C were pure.

I big endometrial polyp was removed by hysteroscopy in the September and surprisingly the laboratory found there hyperplasia adenomatosa atypica which is a prestadium. It had been in the polyp that had been removed.

Because it was impossible to know if the atypia was only in the removed polyp, I had a hysterectomy last week. Now I’m waiting for the laboratory results. The surgeon told that during the operation she had not seen anything that looks like cancer. But I have to wait the laboratory results again to be sure.
