Uveitis and NPC

Hello everyone!!

Just wondering if any of you have experienced recurrent Anterior Uveitis (eye inflammation) post treatment?                                                                                                                                                                                  I had a few recurrences last year and now again.  The Docs don't seem to know why I'm getting it.  Sometimes I think it could be related to the radiation (because everything else seems to be!! Wink) so was wondering if any of you had this type of problem...

    My problems with the eyes are a little different; the radiation did a lot of damage to my vision to where I need glasses to see far away, both eyes are very dry at times. I also have pain behind the left eye that no one can figure out why and I have times when everything goes dark on me. So far I have not had any inflammation in the eyes, hope this helps

    my right eye

    Not only is radiation a (life-saving) gift that keeps giving, so is shingles.

    I got it on the right side of my face in May.  Then a couple of months later, my right eyeball turned red.  The doctor said it can come and go for the rest of my life.

    Hello,

    No, haven’t got that (I am 2 years post treatment for NPC). If no other reasons for uveitis (like autoimmune), maybe radiation is the culprit. Although (in case you had) chemo might also had contributed.

    My Doc also had said that Radiation is the gift that keeps on giving!! 

    Sometimes I think that  no one really knows the extent of radiation damage post treatment.

    I had NPC, too....

    and trouble with my eyes from the end of treatment.  Not as dramatic as yours....but I produce massive amonts of goup in the night, and they are ultra-sensitive to light.  I think it's where they point the rads for NPC....like your eyes are right there in the line of fire.

    Hey P!

    I agree with you, the eyes are right there in the line of fire, that is why sometimes I think it might be radiation related!!
