To my teal sisters

Lovely ladies, I read your threads and my heart cries for what you all have gone through.  Ovarian cancer is such a tough one and too often doctors aren't watching for the symptoms until it is late.

Today I had my quarterly doctor visit and as I sat in the waiting room a young couple came in and sat down.  I don't know about most of you, but there are not a lot of young women in a gynecological cancer waiting room, and even though I am 51 she was younger and you could tell she had lost her hair from her treatment. Her husband had on a teal wrist band and that is when I knew.  I smiled at her and she smiled back.

Ladies, I knew right then that I wanted to come to your board and let you know that I think all of you are such a great group of warriors.

May God bless all of you.  May they find something to diagnose ovarian cancer earlier, or better yet, find a cure.

This Cancer knows no age limit

I know ladies in their 30's and 40's who have ovarian cancer...I sometimes see them when I am getting my chemo. They have little ones at home and I feel so bad..I have to have another six rounds of chemo...my scan showed one small cell left in my pelvic lymph node...no where else. I have been on chemo for three + years now....stay strong...

I think your amazing , I've moaned at my first 6 sessions of chemo !  I hope that the next round of treatment gets rid of the rest of cancer in your lymph node and you get a break from treatment . Sending my best wishes and thinking of you .jue
