i think a nutrition board is a great idea. I bet that each cancer group has several posts/threads about nutrition, but since we are all stovepiped, or don't actively visit other boards, the info isn't shared.
notmsure if this it's possible, but it would be good if we could use a hashtag or something so that posts could be cross posted on two boards, ie an individual cancer board and the nutrition board.
we'll see what's possible -- CSN admin?

Hi Karin,
Sorry I am just now seeing your suggestion. While we do monitor the boards, we don't always read every post. Using the contact form is always the best way to ensure we see your suggestions(http://csn.cancer.org/contact).
Using hashtags to cross post is an interesting idea. I'll push it forward to our technical team and see if it is a possibility. If so we can look into it further.
Best Regards,

In our initialHi Nana,
In our initial email response to your request we let you know that we would discuss the possibility of creating a nutrition board amongst the CSN Support Team. We appreciate all the discussion on this post and understand that many people are behind the creation of this board. We will have a final decision on this matter in January 2015.
Thank you again for the suggestion and everyone else for chiming in!

January 2015 for a healthy board, that does not sound positive at all. Kinda confirms a lot for me. Hmmmm.

In all fairness to the developers and maintenance folks of the software which makes this site available, I do not believe adding a new board is a minor change. Also it would need to be added into a planned upgrade release and those are scheduled out many months in advance.
Just my 2 cents.

what's appropriate to inhibit its recurrence, growth or harm;that is,just because something, say tumeric, may be effective for CRC it may prove detrimental to,say, breast cancer. Also, what's good for you maydepend on whether you're undergoing treatment or not...
Why not start a post here DEDICATED to healthy advice or nutrition and hopefully all who post to it will adhere to that topic.....
(those who remember them: don't you miss the two 'juicing chicks" and John 23? Hopefull they're all doing well)
