NED for now, no more chemo woo hoo!
Saw my docs today and they all agree no adjuvant chemo after my liver resection! Whew! Folfox kicked my butt and didn't really slow down my cancer and the alternative folfiri with and without avastin has not shown itself to be effective. Sooo I'm 35-50% chance of being cured right now. If something returns they'll probably hit it with folfiri to see what happens but they're super aggressive about resection if at all possible and curing me! They kept saying they want to cure me! Music to my ears! Soo I'm seeing the integrative docs next plus the naturopath and I'm doing ALL the alternative stuff I can think of, I just gotta keep the effin bad boy away and I might just make it! So on to 'scanxiety' from here on out. Thanks for all the encouragement, blood test soon then scan in January, until then I'm gonna get busy livin'!! You know I love you all and I'm pulling for each of you! Thanks for having my back : )

GREAT NEWS!
Congratultions Richard, this is so great! In case you might not recognize me, since I don't think I've responded directly to your posts in the past, I'm the daughter of the 58-year old stage IV colon cancer mother. Even if I haven't interacted directly though, I've been following your story, and I'm very excited for you! Here's to your health and continued good news on the tests and scans!

If you do Facebook, I would love to add you as a friend ( please, no worries if you say no).

I like to joke that I have a best friend named Ned. Only certain people get the joke. Ned is wonderful. Congratulions. 35-50% is excellent. If you offered me 35-50 percent off, I'd feel like I just hit the jackpot. Those are great numbers for a cure!

How wonderful, Richard! Celebrate well. Every time someone gets good news, we all get good news...just as the opposite. You have been such a great support on this forum. I hope that you get to know NED very well.

This fight is hard enough, I can't imagine doing it alone. This is a place where everyone 'gets it.' I appreciate and love all my friends here fighting the good fight. I will do whatever I can to ease the pain, cheer someone on and sometimes just cry. It's how I beat cancer, living with grace, courage and dignity. No matter what happens to me, in the end I'll feel like I beat it. It's just something I have to do, I don't know any other way.

congratulations! I thought I posted on your thread already but I guess not-
as I say to many people on this forum who become NED, I've enjoyed your "company" on this board, but I hope you never have to come back!
It's a tough journey and Im glad your results are positive. Stay NED, healthy and happy.
all the best to you

That's awesome news!
I'm glad the docs were able to give you a clear path going forward, Richard.
And as I said before, I've got a good feeling about you and your single little met. Have seen several other people in that situation get cured, I'm confident that you are going to join their ranks!
