Done and Done
Got my port implanted yesterday and lived to tell the tale!
Thank all of you for easing my fears about that procedure.
I was cool as a cucumber (on the outside anyway).
I will begin Herceptin infusions next week (think SWAT team against bone mets).
Hugs everyone.

Bring out SWAT TEAM for mets
Zah, we are all in this together and glad all the advice you received was good and glad port went well for you. Next week all of your sisters here will bring out the Swat team and Swat all of your mets with a swatter along with the herceptin. Treatments and swatters are going to do wonders for you. Hugs, Pixie

Whew!
Port - big first step. Gotta start, in order to finish.
Glad it was easier than you initially thought it might be.
Am liking your SWAT Team analogy.
Hoping the Herceptin will kick cancer's ****.
Big (((hugs))) backatcha, zah.
Kindest regards, Susan

My experience did not goes that well - however, after all was said and done, my port operated and functioned properly.
I too, endured Herceptin for 1 year - much easier on my body, and system that TCH -- cocktail.
We are WARRIORS -- go forth, and stand tall !! Well, whenever you have the strength to do so.
