I have an open radical on 8-11 and I still have a lot of numbness in my stomach which I understand is normal.  But is it normal to always feel hungry and never full even after eating a full meal?

    feelings of hunger

I hope you are healing well, you may go through various weird sensations and feelings as your body heals. Numbness being one of them, or slight tingling and stinging. We all heal differently and so our experiences will vary. Personally I didn't feel hungry at all, I was quite the opposite I felt full and so I didn't want to eat much, this feeling is just 'normal' for you.

    Well I don't like it.  I have

Well I don't like it.  I have gained 20 lbs since my surgery.  The weight gain has backed off some since I have become aware of it and try to watch my portion sizes and trying to be aware of if I am actually need food or just feeling hungry.

I am getting use to the numbness and other weird sensations that I have been having and I know that it may never go away completely.  I have to wonder if the empty/fullness sensation will ever get back to normal.

    Thank you for your info.

    A suggestion

Telana.  You might want to look into following a low carb/high fat diet.  Eating fat alone does not make you fat. Eating sugar(s) and/or refined carbs with or without fat does.

If you "train" your body to primarily gets its energy from eating healthy fats (by this I mean saturated and mono-unsaturated fats) you may discover that your appetite is easily quenched with less calories - and the feeling will last for many hours of the day.

    Take care!

You are bound to feel numb for a while whilst everything, nerves, tissue etc. knit together again. I had my op early 2013, I have no numbness now, I get the odd pain and soreness but I have some adhesions. On the whole for me everything is pretty normal, so I shouldn't worry yourself too much about the numbness, the main thing is being free of cancer. You sound like you have the over eating sorted, as you recover the hunger feelings will settle. Also you tend to be a bit bloated after a major op of this type.

Be patient you will gradually get back to near normal!
