New here and worrying. pls help
Hi everybody,
I'm leah, female and I'm 29.years old. I've been having flank pain and under the ribs pain, tiredness and monthly pain by my pelvic not like cramp pain but more of like when sitting down pressure goes up on the lower abdomen to the top abdomen under my rib. My creatinine is 0.5 and my urine is clear. It was accidentally that they found something in my kidney during a full abdomen. That was found on July of this year bit I just got the result September because sone problem with the imaging place. The diagnosis said "there is a 4.7 x 4.7 cm hypoechoic density in the superior aspect of the left kidney and could represent a lesion ct scan with iv contrast is suggested of clinically needed." I am panicking over it and causes so much stress and imitating more of rcc symptoms. Googling it really didn't help me but scares more than ever.i have 2 beautiful kids and my youngest just turned 2 and having this problem makes me worry about my kids, if something happen to me i don't know what's going to happen to them. Any advice is acceptable. Thank u.

You need a CT scan for proper diagnosis
Leah,
You need to proceed with the CT scan for an accurate diagnosis. Flank pain can be a 1000 different things only 1 of which is Kidney Cancer. Worst case scenerio (and you are not there yet) is that if it is Kidney Cancer and (at 4.7cm) is nearly 100% curable from surgery alone. I would like to say that 29 year old women do not get Kidney Cancer, but it has occured on rare occasions. In any event you are going to be around for the grandchildren as they grow up 30 and 40 years from now.
Mine was 12 years ago.

Hope all goes well for you!
Hi Leah,
I understand how worried you are but try not to let your fear take over. It could be cancer but it is just as possible that it's not. No one want's to receive such bad news but if it turns out to be the worst case scenario you will have caught it early, that would be a positive thing. Many people with kidney cancer now go on to live a long full life after surgery, especially with such a small growth. There is no reason for you to believe differently! so try and remain calm and wait for more difinitive results. Please stay off google, that will just make your head spin big time. Have you booked your scan yet?
Take care and keep in touch:)

Don't worry. Get the CT Scan. If the kidney is bad , they'll remove it. Happened to me 12 months ago. So far so good.

Sorry about all this
But take away a few "positves"...get the CT scan, then you'll know what you are dealing with. IF it turns out to be cancer, , as most of us here can attest to, it will be alright.
Surgery and recovering is a B*%$@ yes, but after a couple month (no baby carrying!) you will be back up-to-snuff.
We are all here for you. Take a deep breath and get the answers then the treatment.
