Display our Strength in CHALK

As a 7-yr breast cancer survivor, I'd like to commemorate it by starting a new Fad. Chalk is cheap, & art is always nice, so... One thing that surprised me after my diagnosis was just HOW MANY Survivors are out & about- I'm surrounded by survivors, but had no idea, because people like to be stoic, & forget the past. Most people don't like to share their medical maladies. But I think there's strength in Knowledge. I had more hope, as I met more & more. So, I'm putting a PINK RIBBON in CHALK on my sidewalk, in front of my house, so everyone going by will know: "Here Lives Another Survivor." Will U join me, & Spread the word? (Since I'm not on Facebook or other social medias, it's up to U to help.) Anyone can make a ribbon-shape. Use whatever color is the one for your kind of cancer. Let's see how pretty we can make our sidewalks!

Bladder Cancer = Yellow

Brain Cancer = Gray

Breast Cancer = Pink

Cervical Cancer (January) = Teal or Teal w/ white border

Childhood Cancer (September) = Gold

Colon Cancer (March) = Blue or Brown

Esophageal Cancer = Light Blue

Head and Neck Cancer = Burgundy

Kidney Cancer = Orange

Leukemia (September) = Orange

Liver Cancer = Green

Lung Cancer (November) = White or Clear

Lymphoma (September) = Light Green

Melanoma (May) = Black

Multiple Myeloma = Burgundy

Ovarian Cancer (September) = Teal

Pancreatic Cancer (November) = Purple

Prostate Cancer (September) = Light Blue

Sarcoma/Bone Cancer (June) = Yellow

Stomach Cancer = Periwinkle

Testicular Cancer = Purple

Thyroid Cancer (January) = Blue/Pink/Teal (tricolored)

Uterine Cancer = Peach

    Great idea, I think it would also be better to use the chalk with many colors for all the cancers that you have posted We do not want to leave anyone out. Would also make a great graphic scene for everyone to look at. Smart thinking,  Pixie Dust

    No Sidewalk...

    Where I live I do not have a SideWalk....and we get a LOT of Rain so it would be gone very quickly from my driveway....

     But the idea is a wonderful idea....so I hope lots of the girls will do it.   Know what you mean about being surrounded by Pink Ladies..........and when I see one....and we all know it when we do....I go up to them and tell them I'm a TWELVE year Survivor....so far..........but I want to encourage all my Fighting Sisters....      YOU are one of them and I'm sending you Hugs and Prayers and Thanks for your Wonderful Idea and Wonderful Attitude.   xxoo, Glo

    Very Cool Idea

    I've used chalk outdoors for other messages: happy birthday, etc., when hosting a gathering. Had not thought of this - awesome idea. And I've written on my concrete front steps/porch.

    This cancer ribbon idea is very cool - thanks for sharing.
