waiting for results
Well doc found a 16cm mass on my ovary. Had MRI and ultrasound done. So far, she said no swollen lymphnodes, no fluid build up. and mass does not look that complex. Waiting for bllod work to come back. Will I need surgery, if so, how bad is the surgery.

I am just a visitor from the uterine board. I am sure one of the great ladies of the ovarian board will chime in with a response. However, I would suggest you try not to get too far ahead of yourself. One step at a time, but I think you are familiar with that.

Hang in there! I have had several masses and at the present have one that is actually PET active. I did have it biopsied (of course, they ended up biopsying the part that was not by the PET active part) and it was negative - it was said to be connective tissue.
Wait until you get all of the information first, ie blood work, etc. It is good that it does not look complex and no fluid build up etc.
My best to you.

I know how hard it is not to think the worst but try to focus on the fact that it may very well not be cancer-related. Please keep us posted. Sending lots of prayers and positive energy your way!
Warmly,
