It is mets
The news I really didn't want to hear...
I saw the doctor today and it is mets to the liver and nodes. I had an additional CT done today of the abdomen and an MRI of my spine. The bone scan was negative but there were two spots from a previous CT that everyone said was arthritis, but this onc wants to be sure. We are waiting on the results of the HER2Nu to decide treatment.
How long does it take for the reality to sink in? I'm a bit numb today. My little girl asked how the doctor visit went and I could just tell her mommy will be sick again. *sigh*
Thanks much ladies for sharing your wisdom.
Blessings,
~Mtmom

Sorry to hear this news.
It does take a bit for it to sink in. When I would talk about it at first, It was like I was talking about someone else. Then I would move or roll over and reality would set in. I took a little time checking my options and going for 2nd opinions (yes plueral). My onco said I was in denial. I wasn't, I just needed to know that I was doing what was right for me treatment wize.
It all sucks no matter how you look at it. Once I started radiation and tamoxifen, then chemo, I really felt I was doing all that I could do and the rest was out of my hands.
Hoping for the best for you and your family. I believe it is my family that gives me the strength to keep it all together. When I start feeling down, I come here, best support group around, mix that with a sense of humor and it makes the whole thing doable.
Hugs,
Carol0 -

I just found out yesterday I have mets to my chest wall. It is a very small spot right now, but my oncologist along with her team are going to study my case and see what my treatment plan will be.
Praying you received good news about yours.

Not Fun to have all this Happen.............Fooey on it is what I say.........and sometimes I think that Scarlett had the right idea when she said "I'll think about that tomorrow"............right now is all we have and right now I'm gonna get another cup of coffee. At least now the coffee has a taste..which it sometimes did not when I was doing the chemo.
