Bad week
Can't remember if I posted that my mom doesn't have to have part of lung removed. They think they can remove the inch and half benign tumor with a laser through broncial tube. That was great news and an answer to prayer. The rest of the week was pretty emotional. I guess I took a few steps backward thinking about Jim's upcoming birthday. But Sunday, which was his birthday, was actually not as bad as the days before. My mom and I went to church and then celebrated Jim's birthday at Red Lobster. Unfortunately that evening my sister, the one who had a heart attack a few weeks ago, ended up back in hospital. They did a heart cath today and she is fine now. I pray this week is less stressful and sad.

Debbie, here's hoping things start getting smoother for you. Glad to hear about your mother and sorry to hear about your sister but glad that her heart cath was good news. I remember when my mother passed away each major holiday, including her birthday was hard, but it does get better.
We have had our share of bad news. I hate this beast called cancer. One of our granddaughter's 27 year old husband passed away from brain cancer 2 weeks ago. They have a daughter 2 years old who will never know her dad. It seems like our family didn't even know what cancer was not so long ago and then all of a sudden we have been hit and hit hard. Joe is still fighting but loosing ground every day and the changes are very noticable. And too many days I just want to scream and say why, why, why. But I know the man upstairs has his own plan for each of us and there is nothing we can do about it.
Take care of yourself and prayers sent your way for better days.

Sharon, that just breaks my heart for his daughter, his wife, all his loved ones. how awful to lose someone so young to this damn disease! keeping all of you in prayer and may God help you all stand when you feel too weak. May he ease the terrible pain in your hearts and give you strength to make it through this as you know that is what your grndghter's husband would want. just so sad.

I know well what you are saying; I lost my Mom to colon cancer and my Brother to Lymphoma. Then it attacked me when I was just 46 and in great health, I like you don’t understand it all but I do know my life in always in the hands of my savior. So no matter what happens to me on this earth there is a new body waiting for me at the end.

Sharon, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. They say God will not give yo more than you can handle but when all these things happen one after another it seems as if that isn't true. I pray Joe is not suffering and that hospice is keeping Joe's pain and axxiety under control. I also pray you are able to find time for rest and self care. I know how hard that is to do at this time. Know you are both in my prayers.
