in Kidney Cancer #1

Surgery on Thursday, Prep tomorrow oh joy.. looking forward to spending the entire day in the bathroom lol.... Getting a little nervous eveyone in my house is sick. im getting a runny nose.. been taking musinex so hopeful.  it will bypass me..  argh.. anything going to go wrong Cry

    Good luck on the big day. Sorry about the initiation and pre ininitiation. We all have been there and done that. Friday  you will be a full fledge member of the club that nobody in their right mind would want to join. You will also learn the secret handshake.

    Here you go! Remind yourself that there is nothing in the world that could be better for you. Get pumped. Practice that smile that says, "My life is GREAT!" Just think how good it will be after recovery. Now GO GET'EM!! How exciting for you.

    Tomorrow you will officially be in the club of kidney cancer survivors.

    Take the advice of the Fox his post are what made me laugh and feel good about having the surgery.

    Hi all

    Well surgery is over all went well Ty all for the well wishes I have run into a little complication. Have fever 102 did chest X-ray and urine  besides that I'm allergic to all narcotics the one I was able to tolerate was fentanyl. Well. I am now allergic to this.  But they r giving me 1000mg of Tylenol thrugh IV and will still give me fentanyl with Benadryl. They r going to have a epipen on hand just incase.     I started walking a little Mor today so that's good.  Oh and they did remove my para aortic lymph node. Was very inflamed.   So just something else I heed to deal with. Ome day at a time. RighT.

    Quick turnaround

    Mad.

     

    Getting online within 48 hours of your Neph is pretty good. Relax and take it easy. These are the not so fun days. Hopefully the fever and pain will subside shortly.

    Awfully glad you're on this side of thd surgery now.  Am sorry not feeling great, but it will get better...slowly.

    HUGS Madzoon!!! Glad this is now in your past! Sorry for the complications. I too, had a weird reaction to Opiates, but I am okay with Tramadol which is a narcotic BUT not an opiate. I hallucinated, was hyperverbal immediately from recovery room then for the next week, could not remember where I was nor who was helping me. I could only sleep 1 hour a day!!

    Was the fever due to your possible cold symptoms prior to surgery or from the meds? That is unfortunate for sure!!

    Know that we'll walk along side you on this road toward recovery.

    Let us know how you are doing ok?

    Yes I wanted you all to know everything went well still in hospital  they just started me on real food so see how that goes   They ordered a pt to see what's up with my leg still can't lift or bend my leg dr not sure why   Their going to do an ultrasound to make sure I have no blood clot any where will keep you posted thank you for well wishes.
