Loma linda/ Regorafenib
Dr. Wants to try REGORAFENIB for George I feel very negative about this drug, because of side effects.
I am wondering if anyone on this site has had any experience with Loma Linda in So. Calif? Also please give your experiences on REGORAFENIB OR STIVAGA
I am also sending prayers out to Winter Marie, hope she checks in soon
Hugs George & Diane

hi dyan
i've heard nothing good about this drug....even from my onc. the hand foot issues appear to be much worse than with Xeloda. It's the last drug I could do but I'm hesitant mysrlf. As far as extension I've heard a few months.
This is what I know and wanted to pass allng to you.
My onc said we all react differently so George might be spared the bad effects. I might give it a try just to see;anything is worth trying once...mostly:)

THere are several on the Colon Club who have tried. A few have had sucess. They seem to manage the HFS by changing the dosage. The thing that really worries me is that it can cause liver failure in some cases.

Jury is still out on this one...
Hi. Im taking it now and haven't decided whether I like it or not. Ultimately my vote will probably be no.
I just started it this weekend. Hand and foot early stages might have started already. I had the dry heaves last night, and I am tired all the time. More than normal.

4 months
My husband Patrick took Stivarga for 4 months. He had a rough start on it, pain that landed him in the ER the first week he was on it. Doc lowered the dosage and then gradually brought the dosage back up. Besides being tired, the biggest side effect for him was infection issues and wounds that would not heal.
Sorry to say that this drug did nothing for him during those 4 months. But, I have heard that there have been positive results for other people taking it.
Take care,
Ellen0
