I'm heading to the hospital with my friend for the 8th round of Folfox. This last one was mighty tough. I know with all the love and support, I'll be fine. I am talking to the onc this morning about the black toes and hands. The neuropathy has definately raised it's ugly head.

Eight is good, nine is better

    twelve will be a charm.

I hope that your Onc does something to eliviate your bad neuropathy symptoms.

    Hugs!

    The end is in sight

Hang in there Yolanda. I took vitamin B complex for neuropathy and wore gloves. I still have a bit but it's mostly gone away. You got this!

    You're Almost There

Just think about being almost at the end.  Hope all goes well for next treatment.

    8th round finished

The bottle came off yesterday. Today has been a very quiet day. I'm so tired. I've rested in bed all day. I'm grateful that I could. I'm hoping tomorrow is better. The nausea came back earlier but the meds are working. My hands and feet are dry and tingling but no pain. The cold is really affecting hands and feet. 4 more to go. I'm so lucky to have all the support and advice. I feel my symptoms are lessened by the lessons I've learned here.

    Hang in there

Hang in there Yolanda, just count down the days. Just look at the light at the end of the tunnel. I just completed my 12th cycle of Folfox about three weeks ago. The cold touch and cold drinks really bothered me and I still have the neuropathy. But remember these are temporary or at least get better over time.

    Congrats on finishing!

I am at 55 days left if no delays. I wondered how long the cold sensation hands feet and drinks lasted after treatment.  I have dreams of a ice cold salad, with ice tea and topped with a banana split right before I jump into the ocean!  Thank you Rob for the push!

    It will depend

My sensitivity to cold went away during treatment, probably around # 5.  Its one of those individual things. The neuropathy I still have, though it is much improved in my hands and I can feel a slight improvement in my feet (which didn't get the neuropathy until the very end of treatment).

Have you tried anything cold? Have a little sip of comething room temp and see. Build it up to cold, you might be surprised.

    Cold sensitivity

Has been the worst side effect for me. Sometimes room temperature drinks are way too cold. I have tried at the end if the cycle but it hasn't worked well. I'm looking forward to cold food and drinks. I can wait!
