Scan time again on Thursday
Hopefully, they will show the lung nodules are still stable. Have been having fairly significant coughing spells with a funny honking sound that I've never had before...hurts, too. Hopefully they can tell me why my back and left hip are so sore, along with my right collar bone and shoulder blade. Then will have U/S on thyroid again, since I have large growths on both sides, and they "can't rule out papillary thyroid cancer." Ain't life fun?

Allergies have been giving me fits. Some coughing congestion sneezing feeling like crap. Took a Zertec and all the stuff went away. Just a thought.

Well, my creatinine was too high for them to use contrast on today's scans. I'm concerned about the quality of these scans. I was told to take a deep breath and hold it, while they scanned, and immediately started coughing. Same thing when they asked again, only coughed harder. Then they said scan was over....WTH? I asked if it was a full chest/abdomen/pelvis? Yup! Took all of 4 minutes. I've NEVER had a scan take that little of time! Not even a chest X-ray!! I'm talking 4-5 minutes from the time I walked into the room, before I laid down on the table, until I was walking out of the room! Anybody else have a scan that quick? Oh and also, when I asked that they send me a copy of the report, they said I would have to get that from my oncologist, if he wanted me to have it. That is MY report.
As far as allergies go, I don't have any. This coughing has been getting worse every week and I've been having problems breathing. I'my afraid that the lung nodules are getting bigger as well as the thyroid growths and between the two of them, my throat and lungs are closing up. Hope I'm wrong, and hope that the scan will show what my insides look like, including my hip and pelvis bones, and my collarbone and shoulder blade. Maybe I'm just getting paranoid and/or scared again. I DO know that something just isn't "right". I can feel the difference inside...something is wrong.

Good! Mine have always been at least 30 minutes long, and this just kind of freaked me out for a few minutes. I'm ok....and I'll be ok when I find out the results. I think because my creatinine was higher than normal this time, it just scared me. I've been doing everything I can to keep the creatinine down, and when it made a big jump, it was a surprise. Have had a lot going on in my life and just had a short but impressive panic attack. LOL! Sorry for the hysterics.

Best of Luck
Scan-xiety. I share it, my scan is on the 23rd. So far I have dodged the stage IV bullet...knocking on wood. I hope for you a decrease in nodule sizes and numbers. Positive vibs headed your way!
