Tumors Markers Blood Test

Dr's office just called. My results on my Tumors Markers Blood Test are 18. "Normal" range on cancer patients is 30-38. The lower the number the better!

    Just got a call from my Onc.

    Just got a call from my Onc. regarding my blood results two days ago.  Have been off chemo for 3 weeks, my tumor markers are elevated.  Should be 38 instead it is 41.  WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?????    I am being scheduled for a PET SCAN....  Wish me luck you wonderful and precious people.

    What specific test was given to measure timer blood markers. What test did you get?

    Blood test.  Office called me

    Blood test.  Office called me 2 days later to inform that it was just a bit high and wanted to schedule a Pet Scan.  They informed me they will call me with the schedule and they never called me back.  It's been more than a month.  My PCP told me not to worry.  It could have been high because of remnants from chemo.
