Good Thoughts Please!
Going in tomorrow for a colonscopy/anoscopy a year after my surgey. I swear, the prep is different every time I go. This time the goodie bag is full of dulcolax and zofram and magnesium citrate. I'm pretty sure this is the worst yet. The dulcolax has me in an incredible amount of stomach pain, and the magnesium citrate is FAR worse than the miralax I had last time.
Not fun by any stretch, but I'll get through it.
If you have a moment, please send any good thoughts, prayers, candles, swinging chickens, love, luck, and lollipops that everything comes back clean. I'm quite nervous about the anesthesia and that they might find something else.

Thinking of you
I will be thinking of you tomorrow for sure.
That sounds like an awful mixture they have given you. Can you not call your GI Doc and tell him that you have stomach cramps? Surely that is not what is expected. I've had several Colonoscopies and only ever drunk one liquid (gross, but not causing pain).
I never bother with anesthesia for a Colonoscopy, so I'll swing a chicken around for that.
Blessings dear Skye.

Good thoughts
Prayers and swinging chickens, candles and every other positive things. Is start dancing but we would end up with rain. I'll be thinking about you. Sending strength and cyber hugs. My friend tells me no matter how I feel I don't walk alone. Around here people are so supportive and carrying. You won't worry alone. We will be here.

Sending you winds of good fortune and a cosmic current to take you home. I used Suprep for my colonoscopies, 1 cup of prep and 2 cups of water, easy peasy. Try it on your next one. Wishing you a clean scan and good news.
I'll be thinking of you and praying all goes well. The prep is the worst. let us know how you make out.

Prayers on Way
Prayers on the way for a good prep night. This time mine was the big bottle of go-lytly or whatever it was but it was in half doses. Starting at 6:00 p.m. drinking half and then again at 3:00 a.m. Never ever will that be my prep. You talk about being up all night, never slept all night and that made me very irritable to say the least. Hope you get through the prep with lots of poop coming out so that you are clean because even my daughter said her prep didn't work. Lets just hope you get through this night and a clean scan for tomorrow.

I spewed GoLYTELY all over the bathroom wall. I could not keep it down, not one bit.
Like Richard, I do Suprep now. Doesn't taste nice, but it has a slight (as in VERY slight) licorice taste and at least I can keep it down.

Hope all is well today!
Praying for good results! I haven't used Ducolax since I was 11. That is the worst cramping pain! I just drink the gallon jug o' crap (it keeps changing thanks to my HMO saving money). I, too, once spewed the prep all over like Trubit. Not fun, but will continue to do it and urge friends and family to get tested. Traci

Thank you!
I am grateful that my tests today went surprisingly well. For the first time in...pretty much EVER...they got the IV in on the first try. I woke up from the anesthesia (always a question mark in my mind) and everything came back clear. A couple outstanding questions were answered, so that was a benefit as well. I appreciate all the prayers, good thoughts, love, luck, and lollipops that you all have sent my way leading up to today. I am very blessed.

Well, that must call for the excitable Spinning Man .
I am so glad to hear that all went well, and now you're on the right end of things.
How often will you be monitored? Every three months, six?
I hope you were able to celebrate.
