My Sweet Husband is Gone

in Colorectal Cancer #1

My beloved husband and best friend left this world last night.  I got to spend the whole day by his side talking to him, loving him, and telling him it was ok to go.  He went peacefully and quickly.  I was so lucky to have him for 27 years and my heart will forever be filled with his love and precious memories.  He fought so hard for 7 years, 6 of those on every chemo you can imagine.   Thank you all for the kind messages with I read all day yesterday, they gave me strength.  Love to you all,

    My heart is heavy for you

    I know that it is a blessing, when the final moment comes for one who is in pain and suffering, but the emotions run deep and forever. 

    I pray that you will feel peace and comfort as you move ahead, with your dear husband always in your heart.

    I am just so sorry.

    The loss of someone you love so much is always terribly hard, but losing them too young makes the pain just that much greater.

    I hope that the passage of time brings with it a little peace, and that you will find comfort in the memories of the love you shared.

    Words are so tough

    I'm sorry for your loss. Its so hard to give words that bring comfort. I will pray that he rests in peace and you find comfort and strength.

       That you were able to complete the circle and have quality time with him to the end . There are no words left unsaid all the goodbyes are said . There is nothing more you can do , you have shown him your love by being there till the very end , he will be at peace, may you be too. Hugs Ron.
