Bad couple of weeks
had my last chemo August 15th....while recouping I developed two rectal abcsesses and other cheek rectal fistula acted up....had surgery one week after chemo. I was supposed to go visit my son in Atlanta. Very painful and will probably come back...surgeon says it's probably from chemo...these are very life threatening to anyone who is under going chemo as we are immuno-suppressed . I am getting better day by day. I go for Pet/Ct scan in a few weeks..hoping to be NED. Stay strong my teal ladies..Sept is OVCA awareness month..spread the word...Val

Get better Val, very soon! Hugs!!!
I don't mean to make light of the subject, but it reminded me of an old joke:
Son of doctor: Dad, Dad, some local hoodlums just put a firecracker up Rover's ****!!
Doctor: Rectum son, rectum.
Son: Wrecked 'em? Damn near killed 'em!...

Val, you are a trooper
You never complain...I so admire that about you...always positive!
Living with the aftermath of chemo is something we all know about and have to endure. Thankfully some of the symptoms do get better over time, so hang in there. Wishing you NED and lots of time to travel!
Happy OVCA Awareness month...I have teal toes and fingers to celebrate!
