My wife of 57 years died last night of Alzeimers disease!

    I am truly sorry for your loss. You are a wonderful husband for faithfully visiting her even when she didn't recognize you. I truly believe she is at peace now and although I am sure you are devastated right now but I believe you will find some peace of your own with her passing.

    57 years is a lovely long time.  i am so happy that you have been able to share your life with a wonderful lady. 

    Even though this time was expected, it doesn't lessen the hurt.

    My sincere condolences to you Dan.   She is surely at peace now, Alzheimer's disease is devistating to so many. Having worked in the field for many years, I can sympathize with all you have been through. It is not easy. Sending you strength.
