I am grateful

I want to say thank you to all the wonderful women who post on this forum and tell you how grateful I am for the kindness and caring that you show for us all. Since Jan's passing I am aware more than ever how important it is to acknowledge each other and be thankful for those who are there for us. It is so encouraging and supportive to read the messages urging us to get second opinions, be more assertive with our doctors, exchange information about side effects, complimentary therapies, pain, diet, exercise and spirituality and the list goes on. I especially want to acknowledge Ro10, DoubleWhammy, HellieC, RoseyR, nempark, txtrisha55, debrajo, Kaleena and more lately Connie SW. I know there are others but these are the names that I see often. I think about Linda who used to post such amazing, informative messages. I also think about California artist who continues to add to this forum after so long.

I miss the ones who have gone. I wish there was a place we could visit like the walls that they have for those lost in war. This is a war of sorts and those women who are no longer here were full of courage. I want to pay tribute to their strength and generosity.

Love and warmest wishes to all of you,

Georgia

    Thank you!

I really appreciate you aknowlegment of all of us and so many more!  Thank you for reminding us of what we should be grateful of.  The first one here that I posted to was Linda P.  I will miss Jan just as much and Daisy, and the ones we don;t know about that haven't posted in a while.  Bless your heart for the reminder to count our blessings and to keep in touch!  Debrajo

    Bless you, Georgia

Bless you, Georgia for your lovely comments.  I have been around this board for quite a while now - how time flies - I think I have surprised my doctors!

I don't always post, unless I feel I can add to the debate or answer questions for other ladies because I've "been there" with a particular treatment.  But I do check the boards every few days and gain enormous strength from the positivity I find here.  I too, wish there was somewhere to visit for those who are no longer here.  Their courage gave me courage and, in turn, I hope I can encourage others.

I wish we hadn't all had to "meet" each other under these circumstances, but long may we continue to post, support, encourage and inform those who find themselves on the same path.

    Kindest wishes
    Helen x

    Thank you!

    Dear Georgia:

It was so nice to hear from you and your kind words and what a beautiful tribute to those who have gone.   You also through your words acknowledge that even though many do not post or reply, someone is thinking and caring for them on here.   I have leaned so much from this site and have gotten so much support.    This is a place where we can come and vent or talk about something that might be trivial to family and friends, but is a real concern for us.

Even though I haven't met anyone here personally, it is like we have and when someone doesn't post for awhile we hope that they are just enjoying life.   When I am down or just feeling a little blue, I think of the flowers Linda would talk about planting, trips so many of these women have taken, weddings attended, personal achievements and it makes me smile and makes me thankful to have met each and everyone of you. (albeit cyberspace).

When we lose one of these couragous and beautiful woman, we come together to support one another and gain the strength to carry on to gather more information and continually learning how to treat and beat this terrible disease.

So thank you, Georgia, for your most loving post.

    Kathy

Thank you for your eloquent post that says it all.  I too am very, very grateful to all of you.  It is so good to reaffirm that one is not alone in whatever cancer "adventure" comes one's way.

    Hey, Georgia

Everyone has expressed my feelings much better than I can but I want to add how encouraging it is to see a post like yours with a joined date of 4-5 and even more years ago.  It gives me hope and I feel so encouraged.  Thankyou.
