Metaplastic Spindle Cell Carcinoma

Hi everyone,

 I am new to this forum and would like to know if anyelse out there has had what I have/had.

 In March 2013 I found a small lump on the upper part of my right breast. By the time I got to get in to see the dr. it had grown to about the size of a golf ball. A biopsy showed that is was cancer on 5-1-2013. The dr gave me 2 round of chemo (taxotear) and it continued to grow in size. On 8-1-2013, the tumor was removed and it measured 5.2 cm and the widest part.

 My questions are:  Does anyone have this and how are they dealing with it?
                           What kind of treatment are they giving you and is it working?

    I just read your post and wanted to welcome you to this site. We are a very supportive group of women and men here and really tey to be here for eachother and I am glad you found us. I do have some questions... what kind of cancer were you diagnosed with, what stage are you, and what meds are you on. Hard to answer questions without knowing more info. Each type of bc is treated with different chemo, some have radiation. Have you had a pet scan? Hope to see another post with more info. Hugs, Carol

    Metaplastic spindle cell

    Hi, thanks for welcoming me

     Sorry it took so long to get back to you.

    I had Metaplastic Spindle Cell carcinoma, triple negative and her2 negative. It was in my right breast.

     It has been a very long year,.   After my surgery, I was given 3 rounds of a/c followed by 25 rounds of radiation. I have not been on any medication since my radiation. They have now found 2 new lumps in my right lung. They did a biopsy and I am waiting to find out my results.
