Good news but hard times ahead
Back from vacation with sisters in Ohio and catching up with all my friends on CSN. I think it did me good to get away for a couple weeks of distraction and refreshment. I recieved good news the first day home, my condo is ready to close. But that good news is tempered with the thought of sorting through Jim's belongings. I may just pack up everyting and move it all to the condo to deal with later. I think I will do that last.
My mobile home has not sold yet. I really need the money I sell it for since buying the condo will take most of my emergency reserves. If you are a prayer, please pray this thing sells soon.
Praying for all my CSN friends to recieve all they need. I could not continue on without your support.

Hi Debbie
Been thinking about you. Do you have a friend or family member than can help you go through Jim's things? I had a similar situation years ago, and my sister, God bless her, came to town and spent a handful of days helping me do that task. I simply wasn't up to doing it myself.
Best wishes to you.

You have them always...
You have been through so much, but things will come togather and work out for the best. My Mother always said,"God will never give you more than you can handle". I think you can get pushed a little to close to the edge sometimes, but it does work out. we will always keep you in our prayers.

Glad You're Back
Hey Debbie:
Glad you're back and enjoyed your trip. Will be praying for that mobile home to sell soon! Take your time with going thru Jim's belongings and maybe do a little at a time. Will be praying also for packing up and moving. That's such a job isn't it? God Bless!

awesome
that you got to take a vacation, and a new condo is waiting..my view on going thru Jim's belongings may sound cold and I really don't mean for it to be..but, why move his things? Hopefully, someone can help you sort through them, and you can move in to your condo..your condo. Also, I'm thinking since Jim was such a fisherman, maybe he had a large investment in his gear..money I'm sure he'd want you to have for your needs. I wish you the very best of luck and a peace in living in a new place and starting the next stage in your life

Sorry to here Jim has passed away
Debbie, Very sorry to hear the bad news that Jim passed away. He was a fighter and so was his caretaker. I know Jim went through a lot the last few years and I know he is pain free now and our Almighty God will watch over you. I really don't know what to say after Jim & you struggled so hard for so long. I hope Jim is somewhere fishing now and is enjoying being cancer free.
Best Wishes, Homer & Connie

I've been following your sad
I've been following your sad posts for some time, it's very difficult to go through the final stages of the old life and the new. I went through it with a sister, brother and mother. I find the best way is to just get stuck in, have 3 piles one to keep, one for the needy and one for the trash. Keep something of his clothing that's very familiar to you if it still has his smell don't wash or clean it. I still have something of my mothers that went to bed with me for a time now I get it out now and again. It's a familiar. Once you've got something that's means Jim to you, just go quickly and get rid of the rest it won't hurt so much. You will have a new life and new friends and adventures but you will still have something of Jim's with you for whenever your sad you can get it out and hold it. Best of luck with your new life I hope it's fulfilling and happy.

Good to see that you are doing some positive things for yourself. You might want to consider finding just the right charity for some of Jim's clothing to make the process a bit easier. I know here, we have Assistance League, which has a resale shop and all of the proceeds go to dressing under privilaged children for school. Something similar might make the task a bit easier even though I know it will be difficult.
Keeping you in my prayers.
