Anyone have any ideas what ths is?????

3 Drs don't...

nothing on the CT in that area.  Not h Pylori, not Gluten sensitivity. no pacreatic or liver enzymes out of wack..

Pain coms when I exert myself or when I try to lie down.

I checked today with Xeloda nurse and they advised 7% report upper abdomen pain ad 14% general abdomen pain..

I guess I am going to have to go back to 5FU... I was liking taking the pill... ugh

    Dear Friend,

The spleen is in that area and I get shooting pain when I even walk a little fast to long. the spleen has a lot to do with red blood count and platelets. Are those ok?

stay on top of this pain though until you get comforting answers

I get the same pain but they

I get the same pain but they tell me it's scar tissue.  Also, just last week ONC told me that when you breath out the liver does come out from behind the ribs and that can cause pain if you have scar tissue.

Hope it gets better, keep in mind, I've had mine for a couple years.

Have you had a PET recently?

I had a similar situation, with left side pain and what looked like a clean CT, but when a PET was done it showed tumor growth in that area.

I don't want to add to your worries, because it is probably not that in your case (my primary tumor was unusual in that it developed on the left side originally, so that's where I had all further growth), but I felt I should mention this in case you want to push for more complete scanning.  The PET may be overly sensitive, but in my experience the CT misses a lot when it comes to the intestinal area.

Keep us posted...and it's nice to see you back here, just wish it was not because you're having pain :(
