my 47 year old friend found a lump in her belly
Regular check up dr. found this tumor in the belly, said it is outside of the uterus. Going for advice from gyn/onc. Any info would be appreciated.

Until your friend knows what
Until your friend knows what she (going to guess it a woman since you are posting on the Uterine board?) dealing with I would hate to speculate on anything. Sometimes tumors are benign, so the best thing to do is go through the tests and if it is something serious, find a good doctor, make a plan, and try to take it a step at a time.
Please let us know when she finds out.

So sorry to hear about your
So sorry to hear about your friend. My thoughts and prayers are with her.
Just so you know, since my hysterectomy, I have had several small "soft tissues masses". One of them that I have for over four years started to give me some problems and I had it biopsied. It did come back cancerous, but when they removed it it was completely negative.
I also have several other soft tissue masses. The one that is causing me problems now is 6 x 2.4 cm. It has been there since my original hysterectomy in 2005. It was just recently biopsied and it was negative. They said it is connective tissue along with scar tissue. It is giving me some problems now because my left ureter passes through it and is now causing hydropnephrosis.
I have several of these soft tissue masses and they do not see concern about them.
I hope this helps.

Those pains can be so annoying. So sorry that you have them. It can be so frustrating. I would have these random pains and when it would be time for a scan I was so sure that they would find something. But they wouldn't. Such a mind game. It is good that you are active. What may be happening is scar tissue and when you lay down it presses on a nerve. Does the pain go away if you lie on your side?
I hope it gets resolved for you.

Yes, Nempark, I remembered when your daughter died and how sad I felt. I have prayed for her and you and your family. You seemed to have a strong faith that helps you get by.
