Good news and hope for all
Dear friends ... Just had 3 plus years follow up ... Labs and CT scan "free of disease". And check this out ... Labs at 12 noon, CT at 130p, saw oncologist at 4p and had all the good news before I left the cancer institute at 5p! and my next follow up scheduled . I had c scope in May so no visit with colorectal surgeon. Now that is the best standard of care ever and what ALL cancer patients deserve ... i travel across the country to a great cancer center for that. They believe no one should wait for test results ... Unless something like pathology which may take time. I have have always had results ... Same day. You should have the same level of care and I hope u do!
Best wishes to you all ... Wishing you all the best news possible!

That's wonderful! I'm guessing that the quick turnaround on results is partly due to the fact that you travel so far to this center? It would be nice to know if patients going there who live in the area are treated the same--I would hope so. I am one of those lucky people who gets scan and test results right away too. I've never had to wait more than a few hours for scan results and my oncologist does bloodwork in his office just prior to him seeing me, so when he walks in the exam room, I get the results. It really should be this way for everyone. However, I have read many cases where patients are waiting up to 2 weeks or more for scan results. That would be impossible for me to tolerate.
I'm glad you got all news and may that always be the case for you!

Hi Martha ... It is the standard if care at this center. They do this for all patients with some exceptions in complicated initial diagnosis I believe. I'm glad to see you are doing well too ! Thank you for well wishes! I always appreciate your wise guidance and input to me and others!

You are getting a lot of respect and consideration. That is a great deal of what care is all about.
So glad you had good results.
All the best,
Sandy
Thank you so much for all the nice words of encouragement and well wishes ... struggling with vaginal issues right now; dry, spotting, and now some bleeding. I'm worried and have called GYN and oncologist ... I wish I could move forward without the fear that this disease will come back in some way or the other. xoxoxo
