IMRT starts Thursday
Hey everyone!
Hubby had his PET Thursday and the doctor said: "...PET/CT scan demonstrated considerable decrease in the size and activity of the FDG-avid disease surrounding the upper trachea and the associated active lower neck and mediastinal lymphadenopathy. In addition, the ground-glass opacities within the right lung have decreased in density and intensity, and consistent with the biopsy results appear to represent an inflammatory process."
We are very pleased! IMRT starts 7/31. Ended up getting an apartment in Houston for the treatment.
Will they eventually stage him? We have yet to get any staging from MD Anderson...?

He is already staged
you can simply ask them. IMO too much is placed on staging, though. Sounds like you got good news.

hey there !
I agree with Pat. Sounds pretty good. I would go ahead and ask about the stage if you choose to. But it wouldn't change the tx's. Will be keeping you in my thoughts for a smooth trip throughout his tx's. Remember to check here for advice if anything is bothersome. Katie

May the Tx go well.
I hope the treatment goes well and in easy as it can be on him. Don't wory about the staging. When I first saw the tumor board it was T2~T3, n0,mo and the day before surgery It was T4,N2,m0; When it was over, T3,N0,M0, the only thing that didn't change was the size 2.5 x 3cm. Prayers for you both. This is very hard on the loved one even more that the paitent some times. They care so much and know your pain, but can't do anything. Keep us posted and ask questions and come to just let it out when needed. The group has been there and does understand.
