12 o'clock and all is clear
H&N Gang
Had my 2y4m (post rad) exam today and I am relieved to report I am NED!
After looking, feeling and scoping, my ENT said “everything is great”!
On the side effect front, the saliva and taste continue to improve and I can stray away from my water bottle, but it would be a critical error to attempt to eat anything dry without having something to drink. My voice is quiet and monotone or loud (and sounds like) yelling, there is no in-between volume.
Anyway, thanks for all you do and all the mental and physical hurdles you have helped me clear.
Matt

YES YES YES!!!!! Matt!
Congrats on the 2 year, 4 month check up....NED all the way! I went to Costco this afternoon, and did a little dry eating....not a good idea at all (I was going up all the aisles looking for someone serving liquid!!!).....just sayin'.....don't go to Costco hungry.
Hope you did a jig around the kitchen...

Costco
Funny, I remember going to Costco with my sister soon after treatment. Crackers looked so good, I couldn't find a trash can quick enough! I don't do crackers or chips, rarely the crust on my favorite sour dough bread.
Matt, great news. I go next week, so the anxiety is ramping up. Keep on with your berry picking, but save some for us, we are headed to Portland at the beginning of August. Daughter and granddaughter both have birthday's. (And I will enjoy cooler weather).

NEDC
Matt, fantastic news on the results! I'm very happy for you and know what a relief it is to get the good word. I have my 14 month CatScan tomorrow so let's hope the streak of good luck continues ( I don't see the Dr until next week for the results).
Great news and here's to many more!

Woo Hoo!!!!!
I always like to hear news like this, I'm so happy for you!
I can surely relate to the dry foods issue. Crackers and I are not on speaking terms though surprisingly, regular chips are. Pringles, Stax, no joy but regular chips, I can enjoy!
I stay firmly away from tastings, I so want to have something but always have to have something to sip to help get the goodies down.
congrats and keep on healing!

P51,
I tried (and did) eating some graham crackers last night and it was like spreading spackle all across my teeth. Weird ways these days.

Bev,
My teeth are purple with berries. I have to use both hands to count the number of times I have eaten cobbler and ice-cream this year.
I am tasting something.

Keith,
Word to the wise, ask for a copy of the scan, take it home and see what NED looks like.
Easy peasy,
Matt

Y683,
Let the chips fall where they may; that is a bag of chips (and a glass of water).
