Thanks for asking Suzaanne!...I'm still not sure! Went in and met with everyone i involved. there is a node{on the Opposit side} on my thyroid. The gland it's self is slightly imflamed. The node is .6cm{?}...what is that in American? Never got the hang of metric. No biopsy, too small even for fine needle. "Impossible" to be met. from UPSC, couuuuuuld be new primary cancer. Insert head scrach of older dr......don't know, wait 6 months and repeat testing with ultra sound{sigh!}....."you are going to start Fosomax this Week"! "What?" I have a slightly weak right hip and left is worse, I've shrunk 2 inches. and have a 27% greater risk of fracture....in 10 years! If the cancer, the birth defective heart, the diabetes, the hypertenion ,ect, doesn't kill me first you mean? I am not taking the Fosomax. My dentist says absolutely not. Been going to him for 35 years and he is very progressive. He's been in my mouth almost than my toothbrush! OOps, that didn't come out right! Anyway, I am where all of us have been so often, wait and see.
I was just going to post a topic of pros' and cons' for Fosomax and get y'all's opinion on this med and it's terrible side affects. Just the directions on taking the med is kind of unsettleing. What does everyone think? Best, Debra

I'm relieved you didn't get bad news. Good news would have been so nice. This inconclusive wait and see is annoying and frustrating but I guess we are all well practiced at it. Maybe I should cross stitch that on some linen and hang it on the wall.
