Happiness is a Clean Scan!!
Thank you all sooooooooo much for the kind thoughts, prayers, and wishes. Thankfully, everything came back good on my blood work and labs, and my CT from yesterday is all clear with no evidence of disease (NED). Phew!
I guess they don't use words like "remission" or "cured" much anymore (no matter how much I try to get the docs to do so), and I'll still be monitored for a good long while (next CT is in six months). But it's a very good thing 10 months out from surgery and post-chemo. I'm terribly grateful that nothing showed up on the scans, and I hope it stays that way forever and for always.
As a bonus, I got the unexpected surprise that my nemesis (aka, the evil power port that has been taking up residency in my chest) can be taken out, and the docs scheduled that procedure for next week. That rotten port has been a pain (both literally and figuratively) since this nightmare started, and since it didn't give me Tony Stark-like mad skillz, I will be happy to drop kick that thing across the known universe at one's earliest possible convenience.
Thank you again so much for your love, patience, support, prayers, and good thoughts. These things make such a huge difference, and I am truly humbled and grateful for the kindness so many of you have shown during this challenging time. A million thank yous and so much love. XOXO

That's great news!!! Congratulations. On the port aspect, I've had mine for so long (over 4 years now) that I think I would miss my little buddy.
I am so happy for you!!

Wonderful news! May NED be your life long companion. Last week, I was introduced to a man named Ned and refrained from telling him the connotation his name carries for so many.
