from happy to sad
I just have to say it here. I had the most fantastic time at the Basque Festival, the food and the dances were so good. But sadly that evening, one of our dancers, 18, was killed in a car accident. I have a video of him dancing his heart out, and it breaks my heart to know that he is was so vital and vibrant in the afternoon, and gone in the evening. My heart weeps for him, for his family, for his many, many friends, as he was much loved at school and in the commuity. In fact, he was so loved, that when he was taken to the hospital, teenagers by the dozen went there, and the police were called as they were blocking the road. On Sunday, there was a memorial service held at the high school. Only hours after his death. That is how popluar he was.
I'm sorry to be rambling on, I guess I just want to talk as it eases the sadness I feel. Life is way too short, too short for us, and too short for everyone, because we truly don't know what the day may bring.

Wow. I often think you just don't know when it's the last 10 minutes of your life. 18 years old, still a baby. Hearbreaking. His poor mom and dad.

While I beliebe he's enjoying eternal life, I do pray for his family. 18 is just barely when life starts. I do pray for his mom and dad, and siblins. life is indeed too short.

Lovely long weekend in the mountains
Well we enjoyed a lovely long weekend in the beautiful mountains of NC (Asheville area).
Wow - I could look at those mountains all day. Stayed at a great B&B.
We will start to do alot more of this now. I decided that life is for living and I will enjoy each and every minute. I will only worry about cancer for scans and blood tests.
Also took a restorative yoga class before heading home.
Just great

That sounds amazing. One of my goals is to see the waterfalls of the world. Nature is the best healing we have.
