Let's do our reunion Saturday July 12th.  I figure more can come Saturday and I have to firm up the date because Wendy is trying to arrange a massage day for me (so sweet).  We will have to figure out a meeting place for lunch.  Any suggestions?  I ate at a very cute outdoor place about 6 years ago there.  I don't remember the name of the restaurant, but Wendy (my younger sister who has also had breast cancer) may.  Hope you all can come!!!  How about a head count???

    My sister and I are taking the train ride  in for this wonderful day. I look forward to meeting you and seeing the rest of the ladies.

    Next to the train station:

    Breakfast or brunch – Ramos House Café          Expensive, but the best breakfast anywhere.

    Belgian  - L'Hirondelle Restaurant                       Like French country food. Don’t know if they have lunch.

    Lots of cute restaurants in the Los Rios Street Historic District

    I will be there. Had lunch at train station 2 weeks ago. It is a good place with lots of room on the patio. Didnt get to meet anyone from here so I am very excited. Carol B. (camul) and I have been friends for years. So it will be nice to see her.   Diana

    I am getting excited, got the ticket.

    I am so blessed to have a brother who sent me a ticket to come and spend the week with him and his family... just have to stay healthy! There are also two more restaurants right there that are suppose to be good. An Italian one where Diana had lunch a few weeks ago and the Tree Top. I have not eaten there, both a little pricy but highly recommended! Diana, what is the name of the one you ate at? They all sound good! Personally, I am just excited to be meeting everyone, the food is secondary. Victiria, looking forward to seeing you again. My sil and her mom may be going also. Will not know for sure until then. Can't believe I will be going to yhe beach again!

    Hi everyone,

     I so glad that Carol already have a ticket. It is not funny to be nervous, do not forget we all have been taking medications, which make us super excited all the time.

    Looking forward to upcoming meeting. staying healthy is a big task for me too

    Don't think so

    I've checked the train, air and if someone from this neck of the woods would like to drive down together.  It just isn't working, doggone it.   Simply too expensive for lunch.  If something miraculous happens, I'll let you know, but it's unlikely at this point.

    Take lots of photos.  Maybe I can join you via telepathy. . .

    Thanks, Victoria, but it's not the lunch itself -

    it's the cost of getting there to have lunch - air fare is around $300, taxi or rental car to lunch adds to that.  Train  is about the same, an overnight if driving or taking the train makes it even more expensive.  Maybe I can figure something out - sometimes I'll have an epiphany . . .
