Memorial Day Weekend Plans? Anyone? Anyone?

This weekend I am vegging.  I am going to sit in the sun (wearing a hat, lesson learned), do some light gardening, sip on some iced tea and just veg.  Might even throw in a nap or two.

    I'm planning to do some

I'm planning to do some much needed gardening - while trying to stay out of the poison ivy this time around.  :-}  Then a little cookout with Rick's family on Monday, and hoping to see his kids too.  (Fingers and toes crossed on that one....)

    Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone!

Visiting my son and his new wife in Denver

They got married this past September.  This will be our first visit to their new home.  I'm excited!

    Quiet weekend planned

My husband gets his port tomorrow, so we're planning on sticking around this weekend.

If he feels fine and is going stircrazy, we might head to the coast for a night. It's our favorite place to decompress.

    "Playing It By Ear"

Nothing specific for me. May join a friend at DAV for their activities. Had planned a yard sale, but my son opted out as he's been working extra hours and is tired out. House looks like a badly arranged thrift shop after bringing home the last of stuff from my cabin to be sold. Sad to sell my little home of 44 years, but "life happens". Will be off to Kentucky & JBG soon.

    Luv,

    Wolfen

    Healing by the sea

As long as he doesn't have to drive, doesn't have a fever, I bet he'll be just fine.

    No beach volley ball though.

I hope you get to the coast. I can't think of a better way to heal. All that wonderful sea air.

    Home body

My husband will be working, my boys are going to the big city hunting for a new truck and I'll be home, alone (time for some cheese with my whine).  Maybe I'll pop to the local yogurt shop that just opened and have a treat. I'll stop by the cemetary and say hi to my Father-in-law and niece.

I'll also raise a glass to my loved ones who have passed. I raise a glass on their birthdays, but this would be a good time too.

    Happy anniversary!

These special milestones in life are even sweeter, imo, given what we have to go through to be here to see them.

We were supposed to go boat camping today,

in the San Juan Islands, our traditional Memoral Day trip.  But it's pouring here, so we're holding off until Sunday, see if it improves.

A little rain (or a lot, as we tend to have here in WA), never used to deter to me, but I'm turning into an old lady.  I think my days of hardocre camping may be behind me.

Hope everyone has a good weekend, whatever your plans!

He actually decided to do some work...

after we got home from the procedure, he took a nap. when he woke up, he was trying to figure out what to do -- and he decided to do work. Not my idea of a fun Friday night, but I think he's happy to feel productive. This week has been so interrupted. I think he had two days without any appointments. I think hè has two next week, and then he'll start chemo/radiation...
