Need Advise!
I'm coming from the Lymphoma board in need of some advise, hope someone can help me. I've had some problems with my menses, my period began on April 23 and has not stopped till this day. I went to the emergency room on mother's day but the Dr only found some cyst and told me to go to my Dr or to a Gynecologist. I have an appointment with her next week but not sure of what to ask. I'm 38 with a past history of cancer. I was a stage 4 non-hodgkin's lymphoma with some masses in liver and spleen and it was also in my bone marrow at the time that I was dx. I had a recent CT scan which shows that I'm still in remission. If any of you can offer some advise on what I should be doing or asking on my next appointment, I just don't want to be brushed off by the Dr just because of my age. Thank you all in advance
Sincerely,
Liz

Dear Liz:
Given your pastDear Liz:
Given your past history of lymphoma, I would probably seek out a gyne/oncologist and have them exam you and look at your recent CT Scan. Prior to making this appointment, I would ask the place where you had the CT scan done for a copy of the report along with the CD so that you can take this with you to whatever doctor you may see. They would be more keen to what to look for regarding the cysts that were found. It is good that the CT scan shows that you are still in remission.
My best to you,
Kathy

Hi Kathy,
Thank you for your advise, I will take the report with me. I don't have the CD I'll see what I can do about that. Thanks again and I will post later of what the doc says.
Sincerely,
Liz
