PET scan next & 1 year since dx
I wa diagnosed a year ago in May -- 1st TX May 27/
saw my gyne onc Weds May 15 to review CTScan~ finished Tx Apr 1
at first it was 3 mos to start Wait & see program
then another doc ( this is a teaching hosp) came in with opitions as some spots were seen could go another round of chemo - in hopes of getting them.OR we could do a PET scan to identify if any oftthese spots are active cancer - then TX if needed.
they did not seem too concerned - so waiting for a PET --- taking a chemo holiday
frpm what I've read about PET - seems it will give a definative answer
The CT scan prior to this last was read as no evidence of disease --I chose be pleased about it-- but not really believe it. so I'm hoping/assuming these spots are OK I'm glad they are being cautious.
did any of you have a PET for a similar situation? opinions?
this oV CA trip is really a roller coaster ride -- deal with one step at a time.
